The 24Craft Technical Division primarily works with the 24Crafts distribution team to enable digital cinema content distribution for new 24Crafts theatrical releases in India and overseas. This includes lab and Digital Intermediate coordination that are intrinsic to the post-production process of any film’s theatrical release.
In the last few years, the division has not only managed to digitize all content available in the analogue format but has also successfully completed digital restoration for the entire 24Crafts catalogue. 24Crafts is among the first in the industry to make their catalogue available in pristine High Definition for further digital exploitation and satellite release.
While most production houses subcontract format conversions, transfers and subtitle spotting requirements, 24Crafts is equipped to handle most of this in-house. Also, additional efforts have been made to collate and archive stock shots from film negatives to make them available for further utilization.
Streamlining the archiving process for the company to ease the accessibility of content remains the backbone, further enabling the smooth functioning of all departments. A central element that aids interdepartmental requirements includes managing and maintaining the archives.
